Hello, let me introduce myself.

My name is Bart Vermeulen and I am 34 years old. Considering society norms, I have a pretty good life. I am healthy individual working as an independent IT consultant. I have my own house, good income and my own company. Still, something felt missing in my life: an unfulfilled desire to make an impact, to contribute to society on a deeper level.

I believe the world is at a point of crossroads and sometimes we are completely off track, not knowing what is important. But we can also turn this around, not by changing our politicians, buying electric cars or silencing our enemies, but by transforming ourselves. Mahatma Gandhi famously said: “Be the change that you want to see in the world”. Everything starts with us. The world will follow.

So, I feel an urge to share my view on the world. That’s why I came up with the idea of writing a blog and coaching. My primary goal is to spread some interesting ideas and to help people.

I have experience with healthy food, the working of the mind, building a career, working out, overcoming difficulties, mental wellbeing, relationships and the ego. My approach is holistic and it focuses on the following :

1. Body

The body is an incredible machine and contains so much wisdom. If we could only listen to the signals it gives us, that would already help us a lot. It should be our priority to maintain this machine in the best possible condition for as long as possible.

At the moment of your birth you received this precious gift and you can never replace it. So, it’s wise to take optimal care of it. If you do so, you will feel more vital and energetic. The body is going to support you to reach your goals and your life will become a lot easier.

2. Mind

So many books and theories have been written about the mind, but we are still so far from understanding this peculiar thing. So much people are struggling with their thoughts and emotions, yet there is a simple truth that has been overlooked: all of our mental suffering is self-created.

There is a way out of this by understanding that you can’t control your thoughts and your thoughts are subjective. Mental wellbeing is at the core of every human being, we just think our way out of it.

3. Energy

You are more than your body and mind. There is an innate intelligence behind what we perceive with our five senses. This intelligence is your essence. The more you become aware of this, the more freedom you will experience.
